Oct 8, 2022 SWVR SCCA Autocross Recap

Southern WV Region SCCA held an Autocross at the Grand Central Mall in Vienna, WV that we were in attendance at on Oct 8th. There were 30 entries total with the most highly contested classes being XSA and CAM-T. Kenneth McBee took the win in XSA in a 1990 Mazda RX-7 over Robert Denzie in a 2021 Honda Civic with a gap of .033 seconds. CAM-T was won by Gary King in a 1995 Ford Mustang over Charles Hornbeck in a 2004 Ford Mustang to the tune of 3.467 seconds. Jason Norton took raw FTD in an A Street 2022 BMW M4 at 30.602 seconds over Bronson McNemar in his C Prepared V8 swapped Mazda Miata with a gap of 0.774 seconds. Jason also won PAX FTD with an adjusted time of 25.124 over Greg Robinson in an H Street 2022 Hyundai Kona N with an adjusted time of 26.258, which worked out to a gap of 1.134 seconds.

We brought an expanded selection of products along for this event to include a VP Racing octane booster, an expanded selection of NGK and Champion spark plugs, as wellas expanded K&N oil filters, new Molecule products, and an additonal tire pressure gauge from Longacre. We now have display units for Speedcom’s in-car communication unit and the Simpson Hybrid S if you’d like to see either of those before purchasing one for yourself!
