Full disclosure here – 2025 is going to be an odd year. Life’s full of little surprises and figuring out how to navigate them is just part of it. That said, I’m dealing with two major ones this year.

The first is my inventory has far outgrown the car I’ve been using to bring my booth to events and I’m attempting to upgrade to a truck this year. This will also be a nice step toward towing to the track. I have to get the car cleaned up, sold, and the truck bought this year, ideally before truck season. That’s going to cause some reduction in my traveling schedule. The second side to this is I took a big hit in my contract work very early this year, so this year, the parts side of my business is going to have to shift to being almost entirely self feeding. What gains it sees will come from what it’s able to produce. Because of this, some of the events I was attending previously that may not have made good financial sense I’m going to have to significantly lean out my attendance on. I’m still plenty willing to meet others at different events if they need something, but I have to look out for the survival of this side of my livelihood, and with continued growth, hopefully I can bring those venues back as this thing continues to stay off the brakes and build momentum as any good Miata driver knows well.
